When you welcome your new baby into this world, they in turn renew your sense of ambition in life. It is as though you have been in a haze for a while, and this new baby broke through the monotony and brought with them excitement and energy. You may feel as though you have a whole new outlook on life. Your new baby may renew ambition in the following ways:
Ambition at work – Suddenly you are not working for you and your partner alone, you are working to provide for your child.
Ambition to make family and friends a priority – You make time for family and friends because you want your baby to be surrounded by love.
Ambition to be a good partner – Having a baby forces relationships into new realms. You both must work together to adjust to the changes in your relationship that occur when you welcome your new baby.
Ambition to be a good role model – You may not make big changes in your life to make yourself a better role model when you child is an infant, but as they grow and begin learning by example, you will find yourself working hard to be a good role model.
Ambition to find balance – Before your baby arrived, many areas of your life may have blended together. You may have had a hard time leaving work at work and focusing on family once you came home. Now that your baby has arrived, work ends strictly at six and family time begins the minute you walk through the door.
Ambition to have fun – When was the last time you clapped your hands and danced around the house? Now that you have a baby you have the freedom (and the excuse) to be as silly as you want after a long day at the office!
