Today’s blog is going to be a little different from our previous blogs. Today we are going to help you identify those who supported you and helped you most through the transition of welcoming a new baby into your life. After you have filled in the blanks, take some time to thank the people you identified in this story in a special way.
When I found out I was expecting I was overjoyed! The first person I told was (1)_______________. Throughout my pregnancy I did a lot of preparation. I read books recommended to me by (2)_______________, sought advice from (3)_______________, and recruited (4)_______________ to help me prepare my home and the baby’s nursery.
When the big day finally I arrived and it was time to welcome my bundle of joy, I had (5)_______________ by my side through my labor and delivery. My baby’s first visitors were (6)_______________. We were lucky to have (7)_______________ welcome us when my baby and I came home from the hospital.
The outpouring of love during the weeks following the arrival of my baby was incredible! When I needed words of encouragement I called (8)_______________.
When I needed a break to take a shower or a nap I called (9)_______________.
I didn’t even have to call (10)_______________, he/she would just drop in to help with household chores and give me a little time for myself. If I ever had a question about my baby’s health I called (11)_______________. When I needed to get out of the house for a short “night out” I called (12)_______________ to join me, I knew he/she would not mind that I could not talk about anything but my baby.
My baby and I are so blessed to have such an amazing support system! What would I have done without all of these people!
