Today’s fun tip involves old baby clothes and a little imagination!
We all know that stocking up on tiny baby clothes is one of the most fun parts of preparing for your new arrival. But when you think about it, your baby will need a new wardrobe about every 3 months! So what do you do with the old clothes?
Many people give old baby clothes to friends or family members who are expecting children. Some people donate the clothes to local shelters. But some of those tiny outfits were expensive, some were worn for special occasions and carry sentimental value, and others may have been hand-me-downs from past generations.
Today, I encourage you to get crafty with your baby’s old clothing! Here are two fun crafts to help you display your baby’s old clothes.
The first is a small blanket that features a pattern of hearts. The hearts are cut outs from old baby clothes! What a great gift for a new mom on her first mother’s day or a grandma who lives far away!
The second craft features a framed baby outfit. May you would like to remember the outfit your baby wore when they came home from the hospital, the outfit they wore for their baptism, the outfit they wore for their first birthday, etc. A great way to always remember that outfit is to frame it and display it. I also suggest putting a picture of your child wearing the outfit in the frame as well!
